WE MADE IT

We're sad that we are done with robots for this year(not really).  It was a lot of fun(and stress) and we would like to thank everyone with all seriousness.

WHAT WE PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH THIS WEEK

We did box checks this week and we will be reviewing for the people who are taking the exam.

WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

Paul is excited because school is almost over and we are #blessedtonotbestressed

No school Friday and we basically got nothing done. But we weighed our robot and it is 6 pounds without weights and 25.2 with weights. #thickestrobotaround

WHAT WE PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH THIS WEEK

We will continue to do the Tug of War challenge.  We had a bomb threat Monday and only Jess was here.

WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

Basically we did the Tug of War challenge with a design we designed in 2 hours.

We did like 10 rounds or somethin' like that.

WHAT WE PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH THIS WEEK

Paul and Jess are back and our group is basically screwed for the tug of war challenge.  Someone stole three of our gears, our remote battery and our wheels.

We have no design for our robot and the challenge is Wednesday.

WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

Jess went out of town and Paul is not back yet.  

I finished SolidWorks for the ball holder.

WHAT WE PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH THIS WEEK

Jess had AP testing and Paul is still in Hawaii or California or something so I am doing SolidWorks.

When Jess comes back on Wednesday she will figure out the new design for our robot.

WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

Paul decided to leave us for Hawaii so its just Tyler and I.

Other than that Tyler finished the ball holder in Solid Works.

WHAT WE PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH

Stupid 9th graders had to waste our robot time in class and MADE US move to another room. Because of them we were FORCED to SLEEP.

Once we got back into the room we did SolidWorks and finished taking apart the robot.

WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

Since we had testing this week and we were in another room most of the week, we only took apart the robot and did SolidWorks.

WHAT WE PLAN ON ACCOMPLISHING THIS WEEK

Truthfully, we will not get very much done due to FCAT and EOCs. Monday-Wednesday we were out of the room so we got nothing done then.

For the rest of the week we will be finishing Solidworks and our robot then begin to practice.

WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

We attached the ball holder to the robot and then fixed our wheel because the axle slid out of the gear.

Other than that we just practiced.

WHAT WE PLAN ON ACCOMPLISHING THIS WEEK

This week we will finish our ball holder and attach it to the robot along with the rubber band.

Then we added more rubber bands as a heavier counterweight.

WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

This week we took off the cross extension on our arm and began making our ball holder. When Paul was not here Tyler and I jumped on the bandwagon and remade our ball holder with a motor and two gears.

Tyler started SolidWorks.

THINGS WE PLAN ON ACCOMPLISHING THIS WEEK

Since we are finished with the tetrahedron challenge we will be taking off the hook of the arm and putting a cradle essentially to hold the ball for our next challenge.

THINGS ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

After many dilemmas with our arm we completed the tetrahedron challenge. But we did not finish SolidWorks.

THINGS WE PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH THIS WEEK

Unfortunately, two weeks ago we could not make our arm so that is what we plan to do this week.

Along with the arm, we will be working on SolidWorks and the tetrahedrons.

THINGS WE ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

Since this was a short week we have not accomplished everything.  We changed back to the smaller motors.

Then began thinking of a design for our arm on Wednesday.  We decided to go back to SolidWorks on Thursday.

WHAT WE PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH THIS WEEK

Tyler, Paul and I plan on fixing our motors, they have stopped responding.  After that, we plan on making our arm.

I blogged more than anything.

WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

We changed our motors and then it caught on fire and there is "a hole that is not supposed to be there" in the connector, quoted from Paul.

It smells really bad.

THINGS WE PLAN ON ACCOMPLISHING THIS WEEK

We had a malfunction with our brain on Friday so we plan on replacing it and then programming our robot.  The robots drive is also inverted and we plan on fixing that as well.

THINGS WE ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

Tyler, Paul and I have finished sorting, SolidWorks and the SquareBot. Woohoo.

THINGS WE PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH THIS WEEK

Tyler and I plan to finish the SquareBot assembly on SolidWorks and begin building our robot.

Paul plans to continue to separate parts and hopefully finish. If he does finish he will help Tyler and I build the robot.

THINGS WE ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

Tyler and I finished 85.9% of the SquareBot assembly on SolidWorks.

Paul sorted "about half" of the parts.
